Cannan Kindergarten was founded in 1965. We have been educating students with love and passion in Hong Kong for over 50 years. Being one of the major early childhood education institutions in Hong Kong, we care very much about the needs and benefits of children and parents. We always keep abreast of the time and provide high quality early childhood education.
The Education Bureau will implement the Free Quality Kindergarten Education Scheme Policy with effect from the 2017/18 school year and is inviting applications from eligible local non-profit-making kindergartens. We were officially invited by the Education Bureau to join the scheme last month. Taking into account that joining the scheme allows our students to enjoy even better quality of education, and facilitates sustainable development, after taking thorough and sincere consideration, our School Management Committee has unanimously agreed to accept the invitation. All eleven schools under our institution will apply for full accession to the Free Quality Kindergarten Education Scheme with effect from the 2017/18 school year.
All along, Cannan Kindergarten has been putting a lot of resources to promote local early childhood education. After joining the scheme, the implementation of our diversified curriculum will be continued, and aims to enhance the biliterate and trilingual proficiency of our students. Moreover, we will allocate more resources to improve our curriculum, teacher quality, school facilities and management system, to enrich the learning experience for our students and provide different modes of services that suit their specific learning needs.
Under the new scheme, some of our kindergartens shall collect school fees from parents after deduction of the government subsidy.
